Fortnite Porn – What Is That?

From qualifying as a psychosexual therapist, like most, I felt the need to explore and train further within the specialist field of sexual addictions/compulsive sexual behaviours. Over the years, I have sought to keep abreast of how porn has changed. Driven because of this famous quote from Justice Stewart (1964) who famously said that while he could not readily define the term “hard-core” pornography, “I know it when I see it.”

This keeps me exploring what is out there, to help those that walk through the door, because I don’t pretend to know it all and I’m fascinated to see what 18-year-olds today can view compared to not even 5 or 10 years ago. My research in 2018 on Porn Hub gave me a statistic that proved the depth of choice out there. Into the top ten of that year, with a rise of 17,323 places (not even Tommy Vance got to say that) was Fortnite porn! Being dyslexic my first response was, “fortnightly”? I explored further… Ahh, of course, the game!

A Porn Genre Created From A Game

And there it is, a genre of porn created from a game – Fortnite porn. Alongside over 18000 other genres, and that was from 2018! Heaven knows how many there are in 2022? From the sub-genres of femdom, you can find Danish femdom (found on Twitter today) to this Fortnite porn, there is just so much out there.

From one angle or frame of reference, this is especially educational, the sexual template a person can explore, discover and ultimately experience does exist. This assists a sex therapist in defining attraction to what becomes arousing. From psychosexual therapy to sex addiction therapy, we are always working with the sexual template, not abstinence. Exploring recovery with how someone can enjoy and take pleasure from the sex they like.

So, at times, for the right person, exploring the types of porn viewed can be an important tool to help them. From discovering Fortnite porn and my own dyslexic reading of it, I have gained valuable insight into what someone could enjoy, I can then assist them without bias, direction or judgement.
